How to choose the most suitable curtains and blinds for your windows
Updated: Oct 17
There are so many different types of window design, style, size, and functionality features to consider before selecting your curtains and blinds. In this blog we explore how to combine different styles to maximize the benefits of the light into your room, for an airy and relaxing atmosphere.

In the example above, the obvious first solution would be to fit curtains across the whole bay area. However this solution would block out light from the side windows when the curtains were drawn back, meaning the light would only come through the main French doors into the lounge.

The client brief was to have maximum light into the room. Our solution was to fit a quality chrome modern pole across the French doors with full length lined curtains in a diamond pattern. For the side windows we recommended romans in a co-ordinating stripe fabric, to give design interest to the overall bay window area. You can see from the photo this allows the maximum light into the room and completes the room. We made bespoke cushions in 4 designs to complement the curtains and blinds.
