Based in Wokingham, near Crowthorne we serve throughout the whole of Berkshire and the surrounding areas.

Three levels of made to measure curtains

Bronze Level - for machine made

Lined curtains: Made for you with budget in mind, the curtains are all machine made. The curtains comprise of two layers, the chosen curtain fabric and the quality sateen lining*.

Silver Level - for hand finished

Hand finished lined curtains: These curtains are bespoke hand finished and professionally made with attention to detail from the outset. The curtains comprise of two layers, the chosen curtain fabric and the quality sateen lining*. Trimmings and braids can be added for that elegant touch.

Gold Level - for hand finished and interlined

Interlined curtains: Superior quality bespoke hand made, fully lined with the addition of interlining in the curtains. This third fabric layer between the face fabric and sateen lining* gives the curtains extra body and weight with rounded deeper folds. This gives a sumptuous designer look and luxurious finish with the added advantage of being thermally efficient, keeping the cold out and helping to retain the room temperature.

* Blackout lining also available for all 3 levels if room darkening

is required in bedrooms for example.

Curtain Heading Styles

Pinch pleat curtain heading

This bespoke curtain heading can either be triple or double pinch pleat and are the most popular heading styles we offer.

Pencil pleat curtain heading

This classic curtain heading has small gathered pleats which results in small softly formed folds.

Goblet curtain heading

Hand crafted, this style of curtain has individual single pleats to give the ‘goblet’ appearance.

Wave curtain heading

Wave is a contemporary
style of curtain which requires a pole or track specifically designed to use with wave curtains.

Eyelet curtain heading

This modern style of curtain has metal eyelets that are available in a number of different finishes to match the metal pole.

Voile curtains

Our bespoke voile curtains are of the highest quality and can be made to suit your requirements, set inside or outside the window recess. Our voile fabric ranges are plain and textured in white, neutral and subtle shades for you to choose from. The hem is weighted to achieve that perfect relaxing look.

Pelmets & Valances

For that opulent designer look in a traditional or modern style, padded pelmets or soft valances are made for both straight and bay windows. The bottom edge can be shaped or straight and can include borders and trimmings. Pelmets and valances also offer a room darkening solution to your windows especially in a bedroom.

Caroline York offers solutions for any type of window with a large variety of metal and wooden poles to choose from.

Different colours, finishes, diameters and finials are all offered depending on your requirements.

Poles and tracks that are bent to shape can be fitted to bay windows. They can also be corded or hand drawn and fixed to the wall or ceiling.
